Romantic Day at Chapel Dulcinea | Austin Wedding Photographer
Hailey & Konner’s romantic day at Chapel Dulcinea is a gentle reminder that your wedding day doesn’t need to be big or elaborate to be wildly meaningful. If you’ve been dreaming about a small wedding or micro-wedding in Austin, let this overcast spring elopement inspire you to lean all the way in. (I promise you won’t regret it).
On a cloudy Texas hill country morning, Hailey & Konner gathered just a handful of their closest family and friends at Chapel Dulcinea. It’s the sweetest little wedding chapel perched on a hillside just southwest of Austin.
The soft drizzle only added to the romance of the day.
Their joy was so infectious that even the light rain felt like part of the adventure, to be honest.
Hailey looked effortlessly stunning in her silky twist-halter midi dress, with her brown hair pulled back in a simple low bun. She paired it with white heeled sandals that were perfect for her laid-back elopement look. Konner looked so handsome in both his suit, and his Navy uniform (which he put on after the ceremony). That was a special moment that made everyone proud and added an extra layer of significance to the day.
The bride and groom decided to do a sweet first look on the lawn before heading to the chapel. Their joy was palpable as they grinned and kissed and hugged. They read a love note on their phones to each other.
Then walked hand-in-hand into their wedding day at Chapel Dulcina.
After a meaningful ceremony overlooking the stunning Hill Country, all their guests celebrated with drinking shots all together. It was a fun and expected way to celebrate. Having an elopement opens the door to think outside the box. Instead of a traditional toast, there was a group “bottoms up!” moment. I loved it!
After that, we squeezed in newlywed portraits around the venue before the rain really started to fall. These moments… the champagne pop on the lawn, the laughter, the family hugs… are proof that tiny weddings carry just as much emotion (if not more!) than any grand ballroom celebration.
As an Austin wedding photographer, I enjoy all types of celebrations. But I know so many couples feel pressure to host a big party. And I just want to remind you that a micro-wedding or elopement can be just as special. The whole day, after all, is for you. So plan a big party or plan a special intimate day for yourself. It truly is whatever you and your partner want!
Hailey & Konner wrapped up their Chapel Dulcinea elopement by driving off in their "Just Married" car, big smiles plastered across their faces.
If you’re craving a wedding day that feels like Hailey & Konner’s; simple, joyful, and full of heart… take this as your sign. An intimate elopement can be every bit as beautiful as any other type of wedding.
