The Waters Point | Dripping Springs Wedding Photographer

Bonnie and Ernie’s wedding at The Waters Point in Wimberley, Texas was the perfect mix of heartfelt, colorful, and joy-filled celebration. From their ceremony under the stone pavilion by the creek to the incredible dance party that went late into the night, every moment reflected their love for each other and the vibrant community they’ve built together.

The Perfect Venue: The Waters Point

Tucked away in the Hill Country, this venue provided the such a beautiful backdrop for the day. The couple exchanged vows beneath the pavilion’s stone arch, framed by Texas greenery. Their florist designed a stunning installation of sunflowers, pastel roses, and blue hydrangeas. As the sun dipped lower, golden light filtered through the trees, casting the whole setting in a dreamy glow. It’s hard to imagine a better venue for couples who want both natural beauty and a space designed for celebration.

Bonnie and Ernie met through their Austin FC supporters club, and that sense of camaraderie and passion carried throughout their wedding day.

Their guests cheered not only for the couple’s first kiss but also every time Austin FC scored a goal during the reception. As a fellow member of the Los Verdes I loved every second. It was such a unique, energetic atmosphere—proof that love and soccer really can bring people together.

Can we talk about how stunning Bonnie looked too? Her hair and makeup team did an amazing job making her feel like a million bucks. And she was stunning in her flowing gown with lace applique details, paired with a bouquet full of bright summer blooms.

Ernie complemented her perfectly in a sleek sage-green suit, with a boutonnière that tied in the colorful florals. From Bonnie’s soft blush heels to the hand-painted floral wedding cake, every detail was thoughtful and personal. As a Dripping Springs wedding photographer, I love when the details have all been considered. I always try to photograph them all, because I know how much thought went into every decision.

A Celebration Full of Fun…

If one thing was clear, it’s that this couple knows how to celebrate. Guests cooled off with popsicles during cocktail hour, swung at a lively piñata during the reception (more of this at weddings please!), and danced under colorful papel picado banners. Their catered barbecue dinner was a hit too, per usual in Texas! The night wrapped up with a sparkler exit and the newlyweds driving off in true Texas Hill Country style… on an ATV, with smiles that said it all.

I Can’t Wait to Photograph at The Waters Point Again…

This wedding was such a joyful reminder of why I love photographing love stories in the Texas Hill Country. The Waters Point has everything: a gorgeous ceremony space, riverside portraits at sunset, and room for a truly unforgettable party. Bonnie and Ernie’s day was one-of-a-kind, but I can already imagine so many ways future couples could make this venue their own.

If you’re planning your wedding, I’d love to capture every moment for you.
