Celebration at Morgan Creek | Dripping Springs Wedding Photographer

There’s something truly special about photographing weddings close to home. I grew up just down the road from Morgan Creek Barn, and evenings here always take me back to why I first fell in love with Texas weddings.

It’s the golden light spilling over the hill country, laughter drifting across the fields, and families, both chosen and blood, coming together to celebrate love.

There is a special kind of magic in the Texas Hill Country.

Kirsten and Carlee’s wedding was the perfect day in Dripping Springs. From the very beginning, their celebration was filled with color, joy, and an unmistakable sense of togetherness. As a wedding photographer, I can tell you that familiarity and love comes across on camera. And I love to see it!

Both brides looked radiant in their lace gowns. Each with delicate floral details that coordinated with the blooms woven into their hairstyles. Kirsten handcrafted their flowered headpieces, which added such a meaningful touch to the day. (We love a thoughtful DIY moment!!)

Carlee, meanwhile, brought her gift of music, writing and performing a song for Kirsten during the ceremony. There wasn’t a dry eye in the room as her words filled the space, as we all just sat witness to their love.

The venue itself couldn’t have been a more perfect backdrop.

Morgan Creek Barn combines the rustic charm of wood and stone with elegant modern touches.

When the sun set, there were string lights twinkling overhead while guests mingled outdoors. Inside, the celebration carried on with heartfelt toasts, a packed dance floor, and plenty of moments that reminded everyone why community is at the heart of every wedding day.

One of my favorite parts of the evening was how clearly Kirsten and Carlee’s joy attracted joy in return. Everywhere you looked, friends and family were embracing, cheering, and celebrating alongside them. Their love story has a magnetic quality… drawing in other kindred spirits who reflected the same creativity, laughter, and love that they share with each other.

It was so beautiful to document on my camera.

It was an honor to capture these memories in the very place that shaped so much of my own story. Kirsten and Carlee, thank you for inviting me to document your wedding day. I know your marriage will continue to inspire and uplift everyone lucky enough to know you.
